As the ending track on the self titled E.P., "Sundance", this loose-fitting quality track offers a playful, yet movie credit placement that has us in the mood to sing along every time. FLOTUS, a Syracuse, New York four-piece college friends band, bestows upon us a 2000s flow rock track that reminds us of Maroon 5 (early days) and The Strokes with that classic garage band feel. With song's base concept being saturated by the vocals of lead singer [slash] guitarist (Eric Thompson), Sean Ferguson (drums), Blake Trexler (bass) and Ryan McKeown (keyboard) hold down the center piece of the score with elements of funk, alternative and inventive-Progressive rock.

"The inspiration behind the song Sundance is basically: what would you do on a date with someone way out of your league? Maybe the forecast of the evening seems stormy in your head, but you would do anything to make it go right. You're basically telling them 'listen, I'm pretty weird but I'm a romantic at heart and I can show you that'." From their community performances in cities such as Wildwood, NJ, Rochester, NY, and New York City, FLOTUS has definitely caught the attention of locals and more. "Since the E.P release we've gotten to play our first gig in NYC at the venue Pianos, and we opened for 'Too Many Zoos' to a sold out crowd in Rochester, NY. That was definitely our largest audience. We also just played last week as a 16 piece with strings, brass, backup singers, and conga drums. It was super cool to bring new elements to our performance."
By weaving and zig-zagging several colorful elements in a combination of head-nodding and a catchy hook, this band has managed to produce a refreshing prototype that compliments their genre. Their unique, yet familiar sound and ability to take on multiple genres while still executing their signature leaves room for future success, growth and tons of great sounding music.
