Rising Pop/R&B star Xav A. is a singer-songwriter inspired by 90's classic vibes and retro fashion. Originally debuting on season 3 of NBC’s a-cappella competition show, The Sing-Off, performing a rendition of R. Kelly’s “Ignition (Remix)”, Xav began to harness his newfound "ghetto fabusexiness" to revive the sillier side of R&B. "That [Dartmouth] was the biggest platform I ever had the honor to be on, and it really helped me grow as an artist enough to work on a solo career." With musical inspirations from artists such as Tyler the Creator and Katy Perry, Xav expressed to us that his music and newly released visual for "All In (Summer Song) is inspired by what he wishes he could see on a daily basis when it comes to love song topics. "I try my best to spread love and joy through quirky and fun Pop and R&B music." Xav A. harmonizes in lush worthy tones throughout the chorus which brings a mellow, feel-good summer vibe to the overall track.
With notable press praises by Rolling Stone, Yahoo! and Glameglare, Xav's solo career takeoff has been awe-inspiring and full of excitement. A. What was the moment you decided that music was going to be a serious career path to pursue? "I think it was freshman year of high school when I joined the choir. The choir teacher, Dr. Barbara Baker had me sing solo for her and she told me I really had a great voice. She was also the choir teacher of the singer Mýa, so that really sparked the belief in myself and pursuing music seriously. I'll love her forever for that." From High School choir to National T.V., creating an individual sound and image for independent artists is usually the base trouble for establishing a brand. A trouble Xav bats his lashes at. "I keep myself motivated by always trying to think of uncharted musical territory I can fill. As long as ideas continue to come to me, I'll keep acting on them and sharing them with the world!"

Since moving from Maryland to New York City, Xav credits the big apple in playing a role in his diversity and creating, aiding in his ever growing sound and image. His natural presence is spunky and eccentric, adding depth to his character as an entertainer. A. Who are some emerging artists you look up to currently? "In the local NYC scene, I have always enjoyed the natural swag of Awesum Crawford, who I did my song 'NFF!' with. Her presence is so captivating--just true star power! I also really enjoy listening to RaneRaps who is a phenomenal rapper with so much charisma and sick wordplay. He is also the only person I know who can rock any piece of clothing he desires, [haha]. I always end up admiring people who have an x-factor I can't put my finger on and he definitely has it."
Recently, Xav released his visual for his acoustic track "All In (Summer Song)", a R&B gathering of soulful harmonized layers accompanied by introspective radiant colors and urban tide-vibes. "The song was actually inspired by what I don't see on a daily basis. Sometimes it seems like Twitter and Instagram are so focused on discussions and jokes about side pieces and things like that. I just wanted this song to remind people that loving just one person and committing to them is still happening and is still valid!"

With thunderous, cultured tones soothing even the chilliest of hearts, Xav lures you into a world of endless trust falls and words of encourage, all while switching it up with an influence of a Hip Hop break. Since the success of his solo career launch, Xav has become more fearless to release bigger and better content that he hopes will take viewers perception of him to newer heights.
